The emergence of vacuum packaging technology has further boosted the development of the food industry, significantly enhancing product taste, freshness, and shelf life. At the same time, the food industry has achieved remarkable accomplishments. To ensure proper operation of the equipment, we should strictly adhere to the following 10 principles when using a vacuum packaging machine.
1. When the vacuum pump is running, the oil level should be maintained at 3/4 of the oil window’s height. If the oil level drops below 1/2 of the oil window’s height, promptly add specialized lubricating oil for high-speed vacuum pumps. Both excessively high and excessively low oil levels can adversely affect the vacuum pump’s motor. For specific operating procedures, please refer to the vacuum pump’s instruction manual.
2. The machine should be placed horizontally, and the surrounding environment should be well-ventilated, free of corrosive gases and excessive dust.
3. The machine should be equipped with a protective grounding wire, and the connection points should be regularly checked for good contact to ensure personal safety.
4. Before operating the machine, set the heating time and heating temperature to appropriate levels. Follow the principle of gradually increasing from low to high. Never set the heat-sealing time and temperature too long or too high all at once, as this could damage the electric heating components or the PTFE-sealed fabric.
5. When the top cover is pressed down, the vacuum pump starts operating. At this point, if the top cover has not yet fully latched into place, the user should apply a bit more pressure to firmly press the top cover down.
6. When the machine is operating, if it emits unusual noises and the vacuum gauge pointer remains stationary, this indicates that the vacuum pump may be running in the wrong direction or that the phase sequence of the three-phase power supply does not match the factory-installed phase sequence. In such a case, the machine should be stopped immediately; otherwise, the vacuum pump could easily be damaged. However, simply swapping any two phases of the three-phase power supply will resolve the issue (this phenomenon will not occur with a single-phase power supply).
7. Regularly inspect the sealing areas on the surface of the PTFE fabric to ensure there are no foreign objects or irregularities, thereby guaranteeing sealing quality. If any damage is found, it should be replaced promptly.
8. Check whether the screws on various parts of the machine are loose, and whether the vacuum chamber can move smoothly from side to side. Appropriate amounts of lubricant should be added to moving parts and oil holes.
9. If an emergency occurs while the machine is operating, please press the emergency stop button, and the lid will automatically open.
10. After the machine has finished running, the main power supply should be switched off.
